ISTA 401: Introduction

My experience in programming has taught me to be very patient and understanding. I took CSC 127A in spring  and CSC 227 in fall and that was two years ago. I was very patient until i got tired and so stress of it and so I ended up withdrawing CSC 227.  Programming and I have a love and hate relationship. I love the part when my code works and I hate the part where i have to figure out what i did wrong and going back and fort looking for what's missing. I can say I'm not really good in programming that's why i shift to IST major. I took ISTA 301 last semester  and I like it the fact that it associate arts. I like the combination of art and computer and I want to learn more.

3 Artists:

I really like to learn how to be really good in web-designing. One of my favorite artist is Olia Lialina. She is a pioneer internet artist. She founded Art Teleportacia, a web gallery of her work. One of her famose work is called "My boyfriend came back from the war"  (http://www.teleportacia.org/war/war.html) a site where there are many frames consisting of sentences and pictures. She tells a story with gif about a couple and what occurred when the male came back from war. Her works provoked emotional responses and its a very unique and an artistic way to tell a story.

The second favorite artist that i find very good in interactive installation are Theo Watson and Emily Gobeille aka Design I/0. They are the creative director of Design I/O, a creative studio specializing in design and development of cutting edge, immersive, interactive installations. One of the work that I really like is called Puppet Parade (http://vimeo.com/16985224). The work is an interactive installations that allows children to use their arms to puppeteer larger than life creatures projected on the wall in front of them. I found it very entertaining since I love playing xbox kinect. The anyone would love and enjoy this.

The third artist to complete the list is Jenova Chen. His works looks fancy and neat. The game design is about using the input and output to generate emotional response in the user or the audience.  In his works I can see the personal connection between their work and the players. I'm not really into games, I don't play a lot of times because i don't have any time for it. When I watch my friend's playing i get interested of the graphics and the surrounding environments of the games. This artist did a really good job in providing good graphic which i really like.
